Thank you for visiting our 2009 Award Contest Winners page from our innagural contest year. You can use the drop down boxes above to jump to a particular book or genre category, under which is a green arrow that will take you back to the top of this page. Click on any book cover for a description of the book and a link to its Readers Favorite review page, which features more information about the book and author, as well as links to purchase the book.
NOTE: Manuscript entries only have a small description because we only post reviews for books that are available for sale. However, we replace the manuscript posting when their book is published, so you may see very few manuscript entries as the year progresses.
We offer up to 4 award levels in each category: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable, and also display the Finalists in each category. You will notice that not all award levels are given in each category, despite the number of entries in that category. The judges pay no attention to the number of entrants, only the quality of the book being judged.
For example, if a category only has one entry, that does not mean that book will win Gold. The same is true with a large category. Out of 20 entrants in a particular category the judges may only award one with Silver and another as a Finalist. This assures authors that their book is given an award based on the quality of their book, and not simply their competition or lack there of. |
