3 Off the Tee: No Excuses, The Fit Mind-Fit Body Strategy Book by Lorii Myers is a motivational self-help book that guides readers through the mind and body connection path in order to achieve success in every aspect of their life. The focus is on physical activity and correct diet in conjunction with a mental strength – by exercising body and mind, people will become healthier and fitter, regardless of their age. The book carries readers through a few steps they need to take to reach their goal: from training the brain by learning something new all the time, to managing excuses, visualizing aspirations, and finding the strategy that works. The reference to the golf game throughout the book, starting with the title, is an analogy for the continuous improvement process that one needs to adopt so as to eliminate excuses and succeed.

The book is informative and enjoyable. The golf metaphor is subtle, contributing to the overall understanding of the concept, even for non-golfers. The action plans in the second part are designed to apply the concepts of the book while reading it, so at the end you will start your own journey towards the fit mind-fit body strategy. The final chapters on recommended caloric intake, healthy eating, and exercising routine suggestions are useful, thus making this a life changing manual you can revisit any time. I highly recommend the book for anyone who wants to start their fit mind-fit body regime, regardless of their age or fitness level. I surely started mine!

3 Off the Tee, No Excuses was designed to teach readers how to exercise their minds and bodies in a new way. Author Lorii Myers shows readers how to approach life just like a game of golf, and that every day is a new round. She uses her great love for golf to show how, when following these strategies, every person reading this book can succeed. In this book, you will find out that you can succeed by living smart, practicing, planning, and removing the excuses you always have. And no matter what life throws at you, whether it be good or bad, you can make plans for improvements in your life, taking the hazards out of play, and reinventing your world as you desire. This motivational book shows you just how to do it.

This is an interesting book to help teach others how they can successfully live a productive life. Even if you know nothing about golf, you can easily follow the strategies stated in 3 Off the Tee, No Excuses and you will find the help that author Lorii Myers teaches here. I think it would be easier for golfers because they would know the terms without looking them up, but the principles and strategies are the same. And they are sure to work if you follow what this book says. For those who are not familiar with golfing terms, there is a Glossary of Golf Terms at the back of the book that you can check out.

The author compares life to the game of golf. If you like golf, you will understand the metaphor to life quite well. However if you don’t, you can still understand how to better your life. It is a great book, and I believe that many people will find in it the inspiration to change and become all they can be. This book will motivate you to want to become a fit and wholesome person. You will find here a step-by-step process of the various things you need to do and how to do them to make a difference. You are the only boss and it will depend on you what kind of results you get in the end.

Here is a snippet of the book: "Everyone faces challenges in their day-to-day lives. But the defining moments of how successful you may be in life, both personally and professionally, lie in how you work through the process of recognizing, navigating, and ultimately dealing with all the inevitable hazards that life throws in your path." By this example, you can see that this book has great motivation, so you know where the author is coming from. You will learn how to improve your life and future by following the ideas housed in this book. All you have to do is work on them one at the time and see what gives you the best results.

Resilience is self-manufactured over time by working through your problems and never giving up, even in the face of difficulty or failure. That is what will make you a winner. This book is especially for adults but not necessarily those who like golf.

3 Off the Tee: No Excuses - The Fit Mind-Fit Body Strategy Book by Lorii Myers speaks about golf and an approach to the game. The book helps you to improve your knowledge about the game and also helps to improve your actual game and move forward. This guide is motivational for golf enthusiasts, too. It also teaches readers to develop both mind and body to achieve success. The author's belief in having the right attitude and approach towards anything in life is emphasized here.

The concept of the book is great and I personally feel that if you are a golf player it will benefit you more than someone who is not. The mind and body combination, which is emphasized in yoga and meditation, is discussed by the author, who relates its union to a successful life. The book also motivates readers to become physically active and fit.

Playing golf is used as a metaphor to show you how to plan your daily life and 'play' it. The author advises readers to take full responsibility for the good and bad things in life and also that each person is responsible for their life. The author says that practicing, planning, improving, and removing excuses will lead you to a successful life. The simplicity with which the author has written the book makes it easy for anyone to comprehend the messages contained therein. This is a very uplifting book.

Sometimes bad things happen in life, just like a slice in golf, thus the metaphor used by Lorii Myers in 3 Off the Tee: No Excuses. The term three off the tee refers to taking the penalty stroke in golf and hitting a second drive; thus the lie of your ball is on the third stroke off of the tee. Using golf as a metaphor for life, Lorii Myers shows how keeping our minds and bodies fit and working together will bring the greatest success. Just as Lorii learned to take on the challenges of a senior manager, controller, business owner, and award-winning author, she demonstrates - using the 18 holes of a round of golf and the challenges that are presented there - as an object lesson for those who would strive to achieve their highest goal. By taking control of your game, taking responsibility for your actions, playing through the hazards as though they don’t exist, and remaining focused on your next shot, your mind and body can work together to ultimately lead to success.

Lorii Myers' advice in 3 Off the Tee: No Excuses is an excellent metaphorical work, which, when applied to one’s life not only leads one to success, but, just like in a relaxing game of golf, is a much more pleasurable trip. The golf metaphors that are used in this book make it easier to stay focused on your goals and she gives excellent advice on how to play each hole or objective along the way. Easy to read, informative and inspirational; 3 Off the Tee: No Excuses is one of the most well-written self-help guides available today. Brilliant metaphor!
