Forever Blue by Elodie Parkes is a paranormal romantic thriller with a twist. While working for the forest commission a couple of years ago, Jasper and his colleagues had to cut down some diseased trees. Little did Jasper know that one of the tree he was about to cut down would bring an end to life as he knew it. The tree was home to a wood sprite and she was not happy that her home was destroyed. The wood sprite cursed Jasper, the Forever Blue curse, which made him invisible. The curse could only be broken if Jasper met 'the one.' Could Claudie, the beautiful young woman in the house near the forest, be 'the one,' and could she ever love Jasper if she knew the truth?

Forever Blue by Elodie Parkes is a short story/novella that is in its own right a captivating romantic thriller with a paranormal twist. The plot has a couple of borderline erotic scenes but Elodie Parkes was careful enough to not cross into erotica, hence keeping the focus on the main story-line. I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the way Elodie Parkes was able to tell such a complex story without involving too many plots and subplots. The plot does not bore you with unnecessary details; it takes you straight to the heart of the story. The story builds suspense and anticipation and it had me turning the pages nonstop, so that by the end of just one afternoon I was on the last page.
