Half Popped is a really cute story about Kenny the Kernel. Kenny is upset because he is not popped like the other kernels, so he goes in search around the kitchen for something that will make him like the other kernels. But will Kenny ever find something to make him like the others?

This is an interesting and very cute story because it uses popcorn to teach kids a valuable lesson. What child doesn't like popcorn and would love to read about popcorn people? This is a great book for any child who may think they are not as important as other children or may think they are not pretty since they don't look like someone else. Jeff Feuerstein does a great job of getting the kids' attention and explaining the fact that they are all important, no matter who they are or what they look like. And that everyone is special in their own unique way. I love the illustrations. Dayna Brandoff and Alex Miller outdid themselves with the adorable faces on the popped corn and the kernels. The pictures really bring the story to life as you read it. Very clever story and illustrations too.

I highly recommend this book as an addition to your child's library, and it would be awesome to use in a classroom or for those who home school. So why not grab a bowl of popcorn and this sweet little book and have a good time reading to your children.
