"Mission Possible" by Deborah L. McCarragher is a book about encouragement. She offers strategies and Bible verses to assist a wife in her endeavor to introduce her husband to the Lord. Each chapter ends with questions that make the reader think.

Too often, we speak without thinking of the consequences of our words. I remember specifically when I began to seriously pray for my husband, I prayed first that the Lord would allow me to utter only words of gratification. I found a change in my behavior toward my husband. Then I began to pray that the Lord would strengthen his faith. After that, I added a situation in his career. I saw a change in him. I had not told him I was praying specifically in these areas.

Recently, my husband and I were discussing the influence women have over their husbands. Most men want to please their wives and, when treated with respect and love, will do almost anything for them. We accomplish much more through kindness and example than we do through begging, pleading and demanding.

When I was growing up, my father did not attend church. He was very proud that his family were church-goers. He would drop us off at church and then go fishing. He’d return in time to pick us up. I remember asking him to go to church, and he’d get angry. My mother wisely told me to pray about it, but not to ask him again. I did as she suggested. One Saturday, he asked us why we didn’t want him to go to church with us. I knew to keep my mouth shut. Mom calmly told him that we did want him to go with us. Then he wanted to know why we didn’t ask him to go. Again mother calmly stated that he would go when he was ready. Sheepishly, dad wanted to know if he could go with us the next day. That scene has long stayed with me. We should pray unceasingly but leave it in the Lord’s hands. Through prayer and example, my dad became a Christian.

I highly recommend "Mission Possible" to all married couples. While this book is written for women, the same principles are true for men.

For a modern Christian wife, hoping and waiting for your husband to embrace Jesus as his savior is not enough. With Mission Possible, Deborah McCarragher hopes to offer a guide to show your man the path to finding and creating a relationship with our Lord.

Like many North Americans, author Deborah McCarragher made many excuses for not going to church. Finally, in the spring of 1989 she attended with a neighbor. As she describes it, Deborah was "radically saved" that first Sunday. She took her two-year-old son and each week she became closer and closer to God. Her husband approved, but would not attend church. During this time Deborah decided that her husband was "on lease" to Satan. A "spiritual skirmish" was taking place--God's desire to see a couple united together as one versus Satan's opposition to Holy Union.

At this time many women may give up the battle for their husband's soul, seek a divorce and a new man who is a believer. With Mission Possible: Spiritual Covering the author encourages women to stay the course as even good, moral men devoted to the marriage and family need help to find salvation. The book offers a step-by-step "How to" guide to showing your husband God's mercy, love, and desire. Each chapter concludes with a "Seek and Find" section that presents questions concerning applicable scriptures. These questions help the reader fully understand and utilize the information previously covered.

Modern families are bombarded with temptations and numerous issues from financial concerns to troubles at schools and in communities. A couple with a shared spiritual foundation is better equipped to stand against these challenges. The struggle to help your husband develop a personal relationship with God is no easy task. With trust in your faith and the spiritual tools found in this book, this religious obstacle can be become Mission Possible!

The book was written for women, however I believe it would just as helpful to men hoping to show their wives the path to God. Religious differences continue to be a leading cause of marital break up. Mission Possible could save your mate and your marriage. Highly Recommended by Reader's Choice Book Reviews.

Mission Possible is a well-written book that should encourage and instruct any wife who yearns for a Godly husband--who loves him enough to pray for his eternal salvation even when she doesn't see any fruit in the present. Ms. McCarragher's insights into how to be a Godly wife and "helpmeet" are supported with Scriptural references that give profound wisdom to help anyone struggling in this area. Even though I am not married, I found much Godly wisdom as a single woman to apply in my walk with God, knowing these kernels of truth have application not just in marriage but in all relationships--including children and friends. We never know how God is working to bring about a miracle in all the lives we touch. This book is a must-read for anyone who is committed to prayer, steadfastness, and faith for a Godly marriage and home.

What is a woman to do if after she is in a marriage comes to know Jesus as her Savior but her husband does not share her faith? Mission Possible answers that question for women in a handy little study guide detailing the importance of believing for your husband's salvation.

D.L. (Deborah) McCarragher has written a lovely book from the perspective of one who's been there. Having accepted Christ before her husband, she understands the difficulty of being "unequally yoked" to an unbelieving spouse but knows there is hope if you will live as a witness and never give up praying for your husband.

Mission Possible considers the importance of faith, respecting your husband as the head of your family, and the importance of trusting God's leading as part of the mission of spiritually battling for the soul of your mate. Each chapter ends with a "Seek and Find" section with questions and scripture to meditate on.

I highly recommend it as a group study for women.

When I read Mission Possible Spiritual Covering by Deborah L. McCarragher I wasn't sure what to expect, however, from the first moment I started reading this book I realized that this wasn't coincidence but God Incidence. Deborah McCarragher writes an honest and refreshing look at her own journey. I believe that it will be an encouragement for other women who may be in the similar situation. I can see that the Bible study that goes along with this wonderful book will start Mission Possible groups to spring up all over and becoming a blessing to all women. It is my belief that this honest book ought to be in every evangelical church library in America. It gives hope to all women and that is certainly what we need today!

"If your husband is unsaved take heart. A man is most likely to be led to faith in Christ by their believing wife. The sacred Scriptures are not silent concerning your role as a believing wife with your unsaved husband. Deborah, has in "MISSION POSSIBLE", expounded scriptures to encourage women to believe God with a "radical" faith for the salvation of their spouse. She helps women fulfill their role in the marriage for the salvation of their mate. Give "MISSION POSSIBLE" to any lady praying for the salvation of her husband". In Jesus,

“Mission Possible” lays out the battle plan for every godly wife to follow to impact her unsaved husband for Christ. Scripture reminds us repeatedly that a spiritual battle is taking place around us for the souls of our mates. Every faithful wife must put on the “whole Armor of God” and fearlessly enter that battle against the devils schemes. Even in those times when the battle seems hopeless and despair creeps in, the victory ultimately belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. Be fearless, be strong and be courageous as you enter the battle and wage war against Satan for the heart, mind and soul of your unsaved husband. I believe every wife should add “Mission Possible” to her implements of warfare against Satan knowing that if we resist the devil, he will flee. Maranatha,
