Author Biography

By day I work as Credit and Financial Manager for a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning distributor. At night or whenever I can find the time, I write. When I first started writing, I thought being a numbers guy would make me an oddity as an author. That’s proved to be wrong. The more people I meet in this industry, the more I run across accountants and CFOs. Apparently, creativity infects a variety of people. Of course, I have the same dream as other writers. I hope my book sells a million copies and becomes a smash hit movie. Selling ebooks isn’t the get-rich-quick scheme I thought it was before being published. It’s been a lot of work.

Garrison and Louisa were a married couple who remained childless. Garrison was a CIA agent and Louisa a nurse. When a neighborhood house fire left a Down’s syndrome child orphaned and homeless, Louisa wanted to adopt him. Garrison and Louisa loved Noah very much. They had a good life together until Garrison helped himself to over nine million dollars intended for some rebels in Africa. Garrison lived with the fear that someone would discover what he had done and harm his family.

I loved this story, A Spy at Home, by Joe Rinaldo! It was easy to relate to because it deals with many aspects of life: the job of a CIA agent, their families, the adoption of a Down’s syndrome child, the love of the family and the desire to help others. I found only two editing mistakes. The title was an excellent choice, and I look forward to seeing how it is depicted on the cover. I was disappointed in the ending, however. It left me wondering about two unresolved issues. Perhaps the author is planning a sequel. Noah was my favorite character, and I wanted to know more about him.

I was particularly delighted at the mention of the Special Olympics. Rinaldo offers readers a suspense-filled story that will also warm the heart. The characters are realistic and likable, yet flawed like we all are. I look forward to reading more books by Joe Rinaldo. I suggest you put his name on your books-to-read list!
