Destiny’s Dream by Delia Latham is the first book in her new Series, Solomon’s Gate. It is a book filled with romance, humor and a touch of suspense. Destiny quit her job and spent the last five years taking care of her mother. Now that her mother is gone, it’s time for her to get back out into the 9-5 daily grind, except she has a dream to start a Christian Dating Service. When a strange man walks into her mother’s funeral and talks about her mother the way he does, Destiny realizes he's at the wrong funeral, talking about the wrong woman! However a friendship develops between this man, Clay Gallagher, and Destiny, and she tells him about her dream. When Clay goes behind her back to help her get the dating service started, it puts a strain for a time on the relationship. With business going well, someone is now out to stop her. Is Destiny in danger? Is this a disgruntled applicant? With all the troubles, will Clay and Destiny’s relationship survive?

This is a great beginning to a new series. The cover of the book is beautiful and will be sure to draw the attention of the reader. The prologue of the book sets the stage for the whole book that makes it impossible to put down. With an excellent cast of characters, there are some you love and some you would love to shake some sense into. This is a light, humorous romance with just a touch of suspense. I feel most anyone reading this will enjoy it because it's filled with strong Christian principles. It was a fast read and one that does not bog the reader down.
