Learning To Love by Crystal Thomas is a book with a message for all. Crystal learned how to love the hard way. In her book she shares her story and what she learned. It is very important that the reader spends time reading page 5 through 7, for it sets the stage for the rest of the book. Thomas like most of us found it very easy to find and point out the faults of others.

Knowing that her marriage was in trouble she carefully created a scrap book for her husband. After presenting the book to him she was disappointed at his reaction. She truly thought that by pointing out something to him he would change and their marriage would become stronger. It had the opposite effect. Their marriage continued to crumble and ended in divorce. Her husband left the scrapbook behind.

Thomas revisited the book and realized what she had done. She had beautifully crafted a book that was very negative. She revised the book and shares it with readers. Readers will find a lot of wisdom in the few words of the following pages. I suggest readers ponder the message on each page. “I can only love another when I love myself.” “I can only forgive another when I forgive myself.” Thomas has included quotes that are uplifting. Following each scrapbook page the reader will find a page where they can record their own thoughts. Thomas learned the lesson that so many never learn, to look inside herself, to learn to love herself, forgive herself, be friend herself.
