Glen, Jeff and Ron live together in a group home where they struggle with schizoaffective, not just daily, but moment to moment. Their lives revolve around smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, trying not to Jones (fall into a delusional state) and their lovely Filipino caregiver nurse, Virer, whom they all love. Titled appropriately, spilt coffee is an underlying theme that correctly and succinctly follows the ins and outs of the struggles these men have in their mentally ill state.

I found the plot to be quite believable, sometimes mesmerizing but feel that with a little shining here and there, it would be better. First and foremost, I loved this book. It is raw, real and pulled me in to see the plight of the mentally ill, the struggle they have with change, daily tasks and the depth of their feelings. I will never look at mental illness the same again. Thank you, Mr. Greg Bauder, for sharing your insight and putting this out there for the world to experience.
