Author Biography

Biography of Amberle Cianne
At the age of fourteen, Amberle discovered that she wanted to be a writer because it allows her to express herself and create something real and tangible from her imagination and her experience. Now, at the age of seventeen, she is a published writer with her first book, Nightmare in Niceville. The story started off as a playful school activity and Amberle’s imagination took over. Then the story took on a life of its own, and like a true fiction writer, Amberle let it run where it would.
Born in Tennessee in 1994, Amberle moved to North Georgia around the age of seven and has lived in the area ever since, yet has moved around quite a bit within the region. According to Amberle, moving around has helped her develop her creativity and to see the world from different perspectives, which can be a valuable tool for someone with a passion for writing.
She is blessed with an incredible family and friends who give her unending support and encouragement to continue writing, which is something she has come to love.
Amberle’s wish for all who read her book is that they will enjoy reading it as much as she enjoyed writing it. Visit Amberle’s author’s website at www.AmberleCianne.com

    Book Review

Reviewed by Lori Moore for Readers' Favorite

Isn't it just like a teenager to think that where she lives is boring and wants to move away to some excitement? Well, the main character of this book, Lily, should have been careful about what she wished for because nothing could have prepared her for the nightmare that was about to happen in Niceville.

This book introduces you to typical teenage characters adjusting to high school life with its cliques and quirks, but also introduces you, through a series of plot twists and unexpected surprises, to a crazy killer. Lily is a typical teenage girl who lives with her little sister and their single mother. Lily is guarding a secret from everyone but her best friend Emily, but when the dead bodies start piling up, it is time for Lily's secret to be exposed.

It is fairly well-written, and I enjoyed how the author created chapters toggling back and forth between the perspectives of different characters. I also like how she created diversity among the different characters: a jock, a jerk, a lesbian, and a nerd are all represented in the story.

I enjoy stories at right around 100 pages, so this book was just the right length for my attention span and held my interest the entire way through as I read it all in one sitting. It is my understanding that the author is a teenager, and I think she has a great future ahead of her. I'll be keeping my eye out for future works from her.
