Author Biography
My name is Jonathan A. Price. I'm a married father of four living in Philadelphia, PA. My interests include video games, anime, action movies and trying to understand human nature.
Besides writing, I'm also a self-taught cartoonist/comic artist and character designer. I've studied comic book art from penciling to coloring, graphic storytelling and storyboarding, and I've also dabbled in video game design. Writing seems to be the activity I can do best and most often, however. My first book was originally intended to be a graphic novel and may still be, provided I can find the time to draw it.
My dream is to create enough work that it helps me break the shackles of the cubicle, so until that day comes, I'll keep drawing and writing about the fantasy worlds that appear in my mind every day.

"Beloved Weapon" by Jonathon Price starts out with a bang and continues to involve the reader with Nia's quest to find out who she is and why she has super powers. Unfortunately the super powers don’t keep Nia from making mistakes in whom to trust and who to love; even super powers don’t protect the heart from being bruised. With an adventure full of fighting, fast motorcycles, guns and sex, Nia lives the life of an urban female super hero. A futuristic, scientific twist, the creation of a perfect solider with computers, and weapons integrated into the human body create a great backdrop to Nia’s search for the past that haunts her while looking for acceptance and love in her future.
The quick pace flows well and the search for love and knowledge creates a well-built plot. The characters are well-developed and full of human frailties that make them relatable to everyone. Nia’s Robin Hood style of making a living placed in an urban setting is a super twist to the classic tale. Nia is a kick ass heroine fighting the bad guys to save the world while finding her own place in it. A woman super hero that isn’t a back up to a male super hero, Nia is no nice girl trying to make friends; she is a woman who is fighting to survive and making a difference in her world. I am definitely looking forward to more of Nia’s adventures in another book.
