We use a standard 5 star rating system and only post reviews we have awarded a 4 or 5 star rating. Our goal is to help authors with positive advertising for their books and to provide insightful reviews to help readers find the perfect book by a new or established author.

All of our review pages display your book cover and have an Amazon purchase link, as well as optional links to your Video Book Trailer, Website, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Pinterest pages. You can also add your biography and photo to your review. Our photo upload system will automatically resize your uploaded picture and maintain its aspect ratio so it looks as great as you do.

There is a section where visitors can post their own reviews/comments about your book using our comment system and/or Facebook's comment system. You can also use this section to post all of your other reviews for your book so they are all on one central review page.

Your review page includes a Social Networking bar so you and your visitors can Like the page, Tweet your review, post it to Google Plus and Pin it to Pinterest. These buttons are automatically populated with your book cover and review so when people use the links all of your review information is there and ready to be advertised.

Our optional Review Exchange and Book Donation programs allow authors to obtain more exposure and reviews while helping other authors and charitable organizations.

To help maximize the exposure of your review on our site, you can choose up to 4 genre categories in which to display your book. For example, if you have written a Fantasy/Sc-Fi book for young adults, your could list your book in the "Young Adult - Fantasy/Sci-Fi," "Fiction - Fantasy," "Fiction - Sci-Fi" and "Fiction - Action" genre categories so more readers would find your book. 

You will have a simple link to your review page like this one for world famous author David Baldacci, http://readersfavorite.com/book-review/3974, as well as access to your own Author's Area where you can update all of your information and options.

You may use as much or as little of our review as you wish. We write several paragraphs to provide you with a lot of material to pick quotes from. We can also work with you to create a Review Quote for your cover that meets your space needs. This Review Quote will be based on and in the same spirit as our review of your book.

Our goal is to help authors, so if you receive a poor review, our reviewer will point out any issues they had with your story to help you make it better. Once you have revised it, we will be happy to review it again.

If you receive a 5 star review you may use our FREE Readers' Favorite 5 star review seal on any of your marketing materials (website, book cover, etc.). When your review is complete we will send you a Review Notice with your review and a link to a page where you can download both a fast loading 5 star image suitable for websites, Facebook, etc., and a high resolution version for your book cover or other printed materials.

We provide all of this completely FREE.

We accept manuscripts, published and unpublished books, ebooks, audio books, comic books and poetry books. Currently we do not accept erotica. Your work must be in English and fit into one of our 100 genre categories.

If you receive a review of 4 stars or more and your work is currently available for purchase, we will post your review on our site, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Pinterest. You can also post the review on your Amazon page. Your book must currently be on those sites for us to post your review.

When your review is complete we will send you an email with a link to your new review on our site, as well as login information for you Author's Area where you can update your review page links and options.

We are happy to review manuscripts, but they must be complete and formatted according to our Formatting Guidelines. We will send you the completed review, but we cannot post the review for a manuscript on our site until the book is available for purchase.

We have added a Review Exchange to help authors obtain more reviews of their book, and a Book Donation program to allow authors to obtain more exposure and reviews while helping charitable organizations. These features are enabled by default, but you can disable one or both of them from your Author's Area.

Trade reviews with other authors!	Authors can never have enough reviews. Our Review Exchange program button informs other authors that you are willing to trade reviews with them. Simply put, you will consider reviewing another author's book in exchange for them reviewing yours. The other authors do not need to have a Readers' Favorite review to participate.
Donate Books to: Teachers Schools Libraries Soldier Programs Senior Programs Children Programs Hospital Programs Charitable Programs Nonprofit Programs and more...	The Readers' Favorite Book Donation program was created to help non-profit and charitable organizations (schools, libraries, soldier donation programs, convalescent homes, etc.) by providing them with free books and to help authors garner more exposure for their work. Exposure is key to the success of your book. One way is to provide free copies of your book to people in exchange for reviews, which also gets copies of your book circulating. Our Book Donation program helps you accomplish this by informing visitors that you are willing to give free copies of your book to schools, libraries and other non-profit organizations in exchange for some reviews. However, you are not guaranteeing everyone free copies of your book. You are just indicating that you are willing to take requests. What organizations you choose to donate to, if any, and how many books you decide to send are completely up to you.

Both of these buttons appear next to the blurb of your book in our category listing. Click any category on the left for examples. The buttons below will appear on your review page with a link to detailed information for your visitors so they know how the systems work.





We have added an "Email the author" link under the title of your book on your review page so authors (Exchange Program) and charities (Donation Program) can contact you. It is also available to agents, publishers, publicists, journalists, and visitors. The link opens a professional looking contact window that enables them to send an email to you without having to reveal your email address to maintain your privacy.

PLEASE NOTE: Reviews in each of our 100 categories are listed in alphabetical order with those in the Review Exchange and Book Donation programs listed first, followed by those in just one of the two programs, then all other reviews.

We have over 200 volunteer reviewers who are as varied as the stories they read. When you submit the form below it is sent to all our reviewers for selection. We do not assign reviews, we provide our reviewers with detailed information about your book so they can choose stories they are interested in.

This process closely mimics the purchasing process at a book store, providing you with a quality, honest and genuine review from exactly the type of person who would have purchased your book.

When you receive a review from Readers' Favorite, the first line of the review indicates who your reviewer was so you can look them up on our About Us page. Knowing the type of person who provided your review can help you understand the potential demographics of readers who will enjoy your book. This also benefits the reviewer by giving them proper credit and recognition for their work and time.

Because it is critical that reviewers provide quality reviews, we invite you to review your reviewer. When your review is complete you will be able to login to your Author's Area and rate your reviewer on a 5 star scale and provide a short review, just as they did for you.

Your feedback is presented to the reviewer to help them improve their skills, the same way book reviews help authors improve theirs. The information is also passed to the Readers' Favorite staff to help us ensure the quality of our reviewers and reviews. When possible, we would prefer a digital version of your book (Microsoft Word, PDF, ePUB, etc.). Most authors choose this option because it generally means the review will be completed faster and they save on the costs of producing and shipping a physical book. Books that are attached to the Review Request form below are available to our reviewers instantly, so there is no mailing delay.

In addition, digital books are made available to our international reviewers, who can't receive physical books due to the higher cost of international postage. If the cover of your book is not included in your digital version our reviewers will be able to see it on your Amazon page. If it has a lot of illustrations and the file size is larger than 40mb, complete the form below without attaching the file and contact us for instructions on how to use a free service to email us the larger file.

However, when it is necessary to submit a physical book, it will be donated to one of 4 well known charities so the book will go on to bring joy to others and provide the books with more exposure. We also donate financially to these charities each year. This way you will know that your book and some of the money you spend on our site is used to bring comfort and aid to those in need.

We provide children's and young adult books to St. Jude Children's Hospital and to schools through the Kids In Need Foundation. Adult books are provided to needy seniors through Meals on Wheels and to adults learning to read with the help of the Adult Literacy League.

Because digital books cannot be donated to the charities mentioned above, we created our Book Donation program mentioned earlier on this page, to give all authors the opportunity to donate their book to a wide variety of charitable organizations directly from their Readers' Favorite review page once their review is complete.

In addition, if you submit a digital version of your book but would still like to donate a physical copy to one or more of these charities, you can just mail us a few copies of your book and we will donate them to these charities for you. These options allow authors to submit a digital version of their book for a faster, more economical review, while still providing their book to charitable organizations.

Even with over 300 reviewers we are not able to keep up with the ever-increasing amount of review requests we receive. As a result, it takes an average of 3 months to receive a free review. As a company we play no part in the time it takes for you to receive your review because we do not assign books to reviewers, they select them from a detailed list. We use this process to ensure your book is reviewed by someone interested in your story.

Our reviewers are like any other readers; if your book does not sound interesting to them they will not want to read it. As a result, not all books will receive a review. When completing our Review Request form below, please make sure the description you include is brief but compelling. The reviewer is already looking at your book because the genre and title interest them, so you have to seal the deal with your description.

This system is similar to the way your book would be picked in a bookstore. Readers go to the genre section they are interested in and start reading the blurbs on the back of the books. We created our system to mimic this process so you will get a review from the same type of reader who would have picked your book online or at a bookstore.

Reviews are so important for authors, not only to assist them with advertising but to give the author valuable feedback on their work. We are also visited by bloggers and journalists who have read our press releases and are visiting to see our award-winning books, as well as authors and people just looking for a good book to read. We do not sell this advertising space; we provide it to our authors as a perk for purchasing our services. By not selling the space we keep the number of images down, which provides those in the rotator more screen time.
