Recipes to Seduce is a small book with mighty hints for the dating scene. Most of the hints are commonsense and can be used for more than dating. The first chapter is about grooming.
Russell Britton accurately points out that women do not want to see nose or ear hair. Neither does anyone want to be overcome with the fumes from aftershave (or perfume for that matter.)
The second chapter discusses cleanliness. This cannot be stressed too strongly. No one wants to smell your body odor or see your dirty teeth. Dirty teeth and bad breath are a real turn off. No one wants to smell your smoky, soured breath.
Britton provides a menu and great suggestions for a picnic. What can be more romantic than a picnic? Another point he makes is: do not swear; it is bad manners and makes you look ignorant.
This is a great book but color pictures of the food would have made the recipes much more appealing. One other thing, I thought the section on Date Match should have its own chapter; it seemed out of place under Hygiene. Britton brings his own experience to Recipes to Seduce. I like this book and hope men and women both will read it.
