Children - Preteen Reviewed for ReadersFavorite.com
This is the fourth book I have read by M.W. McKenney. While I do not believe it is her best, it is a good story for low/high readers. Her style is almost too simple in Roosevelt Junior High. Middle school students are very complex. She captured that in her plot.
It is the first day of school, and girls have their eyes on the football players. New students are being acclimated. A tragedy rocks the students’s sense of security. While McKenney brought the sense of complexity to the plot, the reading level is very low. I would recommend this book for low level/high interest readers.
