Eve Wilson was kidnapped and left for dead, but she managed to survive with scars that would remind her everyday of her ordeal; leaving Eve unwilling to trust but a few!  Then Noah Webster a tall, dark, handsome detective steps into her life, and takes her breath away.  Noah and his partner, Jack Phelps, hang out at Sal's bar where Eve moonlights as a bartender while attending the local university.  Eve senses good in Noah, but isn't sure she wants to get involved with him.  Their lives intertwine when a serial killer murders people who are involved in a study she is conducting through the university.   Noah is assigned to the case, and Eve becomes involved when she tells the detectives the murdered women were in her study.  The killer discovers that Eve is helping the detectives, so the killer chooses Eve as his next victim.  During the investigation Eve discovers that Noah is attracted to her, but Noah has as many emotional scars as Eve has physical scars to contend with!  Noah and Eve must overcome their separate demons to see of a relationship is possible between them. "I Can See You" is an action packed love story/murder mystery with many twists and turns; keeping you on the edge of your seat; not wanting to put it down.  There are many characters that connect with Eve to make this book very interesting.  I was glad to see that Karen Rose didn't go overboard with details on the sexual encounters; she gave us just enough to make it romantic, but not vulgar.  When you read this book you might want to keep a dictionary handy.  Karen Rose uses some words that even I as a college graduate didn't know.  Karen needs to use words a little more common, so that the average reader won't lose out on what the author is trying to convey to her readers.
