Cara Moore was raised in foster care. Her mother was dead and her father dropped her left her at a station. She ran away when the son of her foster parent would not leave her alone. She found a job, married and had a daughter. Now Cara and her daughter are on the run again.

While reading her mother’s journal Cara discovers an address. She and daughter, Lori go to the Amish country of Pennsylvania. She hoped to find peace and safety. There was a sense of familiarity about the place but Cara has did not know why.

Ephraim Mast knew her true identity and offered her a place to stay. He faces the disapproval of the elders in the church.

I have nothing but high praise for Cindy Woodsmall’s books. She grabbed my attention and held it through the very last page. Her characters have away of wrapping their selves around your heart and taking you on an emotional journey with them. This is a beautiful story of love and redemption, faith and forgiveness.
