Heidi Manelli, after the death of her parents and grandparents, has finally learned about her true linage and her last name. Receiving a letter on her twenty-first birthday that her father had written before his death, she learned that the family last name in reality is Soleari. She travels to Villa of her long-lost relatives. Will they welcome her with open arms or will they send her back to Britain without even acknowledging her. Taking a five week vacation, she is hoping to get to know the Soleari family and investigate the family business, as her father had pointed out to her in the letter. Little did she know the hornets nest she was about to stir up.
Heidi soon discovers that Stefano is adopted; Marco, his half brother, is a gambler; and Artemisia, his half sister, can best be described as a conniving vixen. Together with their parents, Rosa and Federico, Heidi can’t tell just what is going on within the family. The family bakery is at the heart of all the turmoil. Some of the family want it sold, some want to keep it and one tries to sabotage any and all plans. Heidi may be a major player in the outcome and someone tries to get rid of her. Just where does she stand in the midst of this fiasco.
