Book Review
This is yet another new-to-me author and am glad that I gave her a chance by reading her debut novel, Fatal February. She is definitely a talented author with the ability to draw her readers in from the first page. It takes a wonderfully skilled author to do that and Levenson falls into that category well!
When I read this I thought immediately of Patricia Cornwell, Sandra Brown and Janet Evanovich. Mystery mixed with humor, legalese and drama create the perfect setting for this plot of suspense. I am intrigued by the use of passion blended with the crime. It keeps the reader focused on the entire story and not bored with one or the other. Some books of this type will focus to much on the passionate side of the book leaving the reader wondering for far too long, but with this book, there wasn't a sole focus on one or the other and kept me turning the page to find out what was going to happen next.
Definitely a wonderful book that I would recommend with a 5 in rating! Well done to Levenson for capturing my interest with this book and I look forward to more work by this talented author!
