Book Review
This is one of the best mystery books that I have read in a long time. I did not want to lay the book down.
Jed Stockton and his nephew Scott hired Harry Mann to help find a missing girl. When the girl disappeared from their ranch, Jeb thinks she just took off; but Scott feels differently. The sheriff wasn’t overly concerned either. Harry not only ended up searching for the girl but defending himself against two murder charges. As if that wasn’t enough, someone tried to kill him and Scott. One of the clues to solving this case is peanut shells. Peanut shells were found lying around the crime scenes.
This is a great mystery that will keep you turning the pages. Harry Mann and his Gal Friday, Doris Daily, make a great team. Intrigue, suspense, action and humor are skillfully combined to give the readers just what they want in a mystery book. Although I kept guessing who the killer was, I was wrong. The characters are interesting. I hope to see a series with Harry and Doris as the leads.
