What is a Video Book Trailer?
A Video Book Trailer is a short video that promotes a book just like the trailers that promote movies. These videos are posted on websites and blogs, as well as social media and video sharing sites.
Video trailers can be fun, genre-bending and little works of art, but their purpose is to be commercials for your book. We are living in a multimedia world. People look to Facebook and YouTube for information and entertainment. Video book trailers tap into this market. For a small investment these video advertisements have the potential to reach a global audience, and can hook new readers in ways that no other type of marketing can.
All trailer packages include the complete creation of your trailer from concept design to uploading the final trailer to YouTube, adding it to your Readers Favorite review page and providing you a version to add to your Amazon page. Most trailers are completed in about one week.
What does Royalty-Free mean?
Just because artwork is free on the internet, doesn't mean it’s free to use in your commercial project. Royalty-free images are images that artists sell for a one time price that you are then allowed to use any way you wish. We purchase royalty-free images, video and audio clips for use in your trailer so they are both high quality and so that you will never have to worry about copyright infringement. We provide these images free as part of your trailer package.

We will add your book cover to the Featured Book rotator for one month.
Our Featured Book rotator is at the top left of every page on our site and rotates randomly through all our Featured Books. When a book cover is clicked it will take the visitor to the book's Readers Favorite review page.
It is positioned to attract the attention of our thousands of weekly visitors, many of whom are agents, publishers and publicists who are here viewing reviews we have done for their authors or submitting requests for new reviews. We are also visited by bloggers and journalists who have read our press releases and are visiting to see our Award Winning books, as well as authors and people just looking for a good book to read.
We do not sell this advertising space; we provide it to our authors as a perk for purchasing any of our Author Services to help them promote their book. By not selling the space we keep the number of images down, which provides those in the rotator more screen time.
What do I have to do?
When you purchase a trailer package we will immediately email you a form that will ask specific questions about your book: plot, character descriptions, locations featured in the book, etc. Follow the instructions to email the form to your trailer designer Kim McDougall, and she will contact you with any questions.
You may stop there and about a week later your trailer will be done! Or you may find images, music, and sound effects yourself from resources Kim will provide you if you would like a more hands-on approach to creating your trailer.
