Next Time is a work of fiction in the time travel, romantic drama, and action genres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and contains mild sexual references and some strong language. Penned by author Randy Brown, our plot follows William, who doubts Miriam's claims of randomly jumping forward in time until a chance encounter leads to a deepening relationship. Despite skepticism, they fall in love as Miriam continues to reappear over months and years. However, rumors attract government attention, and they must evade those seeking to exploit Miriam. Amidst personal tragedies, William and Miriam strive to build a life together in scattered moments.

Author Randy Brown instills a keen sense of emotional intelligence into this captivating journey through the complexities of love, time travel, and the human experience. I was impressed with the seamlessness of the science fiction elements working in tandem with a heartfelt love story, creating a narrative that resonated deeply because it felt so credible and realistically grounded. The gradual development of William and Miriam's relationship was beautifully depicted, highlighting the challenges they faced amidst extraordinary circumstances. I loved the close narrative viewpoint, allowing us to see every emotional challenge up close and read between the lines for the impact they have on one another. Brown's exploration of the consequences of time travel and the impact of government interference added an original twist of intrigue to the plot that was explored well and in keeping with the novel’s logic. As I followed William and Miriam's journey, I found myself immersed in their struggles and triumphs, rooting for their happiness amidst adversity. Overall, Next Time was a compelling read that left me pondering the nature of love and the passage of time, and I highly recommend it.
