Frank C. Schütz offers readers an amazing fantasy adventure in The Traveler: Quest for the Twins. Aylon Aiken finally convinces her mother to allow her to leave the secluded paradise of the Western Mountains to search for her aunt and uncle. Goonta Black, also known as The Traveler, offers to aid her in her inquiry and navigate the treacherous and dangerous land of the humans. Aylon learns, however, that the cousins she has never met have been kidnapped by the dreaded Leeshan Army. With Goonta’s help, they embark on a rescue mission that has a very slim chance of success. Along the way, they gather more people who are willing to help them and join their quest. Will they be able to save the twins before it’s too late?

Author Frank C. Schütz has created an amazingly vibrant new world with radiant colors and subtle nuances. With an interesting writing style, the entire story is like a slow reveal of an intricately crafted tapestry. There are surprising phrases that stimulate the senses. Written in the third-person narrative with snippets of first-person perspectives from various characters, this makes for an assortment of information gathering. It is done with an eye for precision and finesse. The plot unfolds at a remarkably gentle pace that will make it impossible to stop reading. This book is suitable for young adult readers and those who love fantasy. Quest for the Twins has a cliffhanger ending, which leaves ample opportunity for the next novel in The Traveler series.
