“Val Szabo thought being the first woman sheet metal worker in her local was a tough job. As it turns out, being the "wicked" stepmother to two kids is the hardest thing she's tackled yet.”  Val is divorced, childless by choice, and just knows that in her lifetime there is not a chance that she will meet or find her Prince Charming. Well, he just happens to be there as a fellow named Steve, “Mr. Divorced with Two Small Children”.

After a few dates, Val and Steve decide they should be together.  Val meets the children. So goes the story of Val and the children. The children are 2 and 4. There is nothing like jumping feet-first and headlong in raising a ready-made family and the adventures of step-parenting.

Follow along on the adventures from young children through the teenage years.  Steve becomes the custodial parent and Val the Step-Parent.  How to deal with an ex-wife? From the hilarious adventures of trying to potty train a 4-year-old to the scary years from when they learn to drive.

This is a very cute book, although the language is a little more than I like, and I feel that it really does not contribute that much to the book.  All in all, the book is, cute, comical and a delight to read.
