A Christmas Proposal by Sherri Fulmer Moorer commences on December 28, in the year 2172. Cindra Navis and Keegan Soames are obliged to work in the period between Christmas and New Year to fine-tune a development proposal. When they arrive in a workplace that is functioning with minimum staff, they are surprised to be accosted by a visitor from the future. Dr. Taryn Ebinger tells them that a fault in the nanotechnology they are developing will kill millions. Cindra and Keegan must revise the proposal ASAP! Will they succeed in convincing their company to make life-saving changes? Could Taryn be the first person to return safely to the future? The future for the human race somehow depends upon whether these two realize they have feelings for each other.

A Christmas Proposal by Sherri Fulmer Moorer was a sparkling speculative holiday novella. I liked the fact the plot addressed genuine concerns like medical technology being rushed through. It was interesting to explore issues such as inadequate research being swept under the carpet to meet a deadline. The tightly woven narrative incorporated a sense of urgency that added to the charm of the story. Frustrations like internet links being broken and being called out by their superiors for using unreliable sources added to the drama. It was satisfying to see the workplace friendship of Cindra and Keegan shyly blossom into romance. The story concept was well planned with all the ends tied together beautifully. The book offered a comfortable read with a seasonally appropriate outcome.
