A Cowgirl's Stories: A Novel (The Life and Stories of Jaime Cruz) is a work of fiction in the Americana and interpersonal drama subgenres. It is suitable for the general adult reading audience and was penned by author T. P. Graf. This enchanting tale is a companion novel to the author’s existing trilogy of works following the adventures of Jamie Cruz and takes us deeper into the world of Sallie Geermann. As Sallie recounts the tales of her own life and those who came before her, we gain a deeper insight into what it means to be a true cowgirl and receive a loving portrait of a much-beloved character.

Whether you’re already familiar with the other excellent works of author T. P. Graf or a newcomer to the series with this side novel, you’ll certainly be hooked on the attitude and atmosphere of the world so lovingly crafted around these characters. There’s a rustic feel to the narrative and description which permeates into every element, from dialogue to culture and the cinematic backgrounds to every scene. As for our protagonist and lead storyteller Sallie, I was utterly charmed by her sharp wit and her loyalty and love for the people around her. There’s a deep warmth in her development that makes her feel real, as if you’ve made a friend that you’ll be taking with you on your own road ahead. Overall, I would highly recommend A Cowgirl's Stories for fans of the existing series as well as newcomers seeking American country fiction at its very best.
