In A Girl Named Natalia by Natalia Settembrini Casillas, Natalia shares the colorful story of her life, which includes both her joyful and painful moments and teaches the importance of choosing faith and hope, even in the darkest, most trying times.
Natalia's intricately described emotions and thoughts make connecting to her natural and easy for the reader. I felt like I made a new friend from the book by the time I finished reading it. My favorite part about A Girl Named Natalia is that some beautiful aspects of Italian culture appear throughout the book. You will learn why you should never order a cappuccino after noon in Italy, how to dress like an Italian, and some other interesting things about Italian culture. Readers who love memoir-like fiction about strong, inspiring female characters should read this compelling book by Natalia Settembrini Casillas. It is easily one of the most touching, endearing, and inspiring stories I've read. Though she faces serious challenges over and over again, Natalia chooses to look forward to experiencing the beautiful things in life. Her story inspired me to look at the bright side of any situation I may face henceforth.
