A Keeper's Truth by Dee Willson is a fascinating and exciting science fiction novel. Tess Morgan had a difficult childhood. Although Tess's mother loved her, she had mental issues and in the end committed suicide. Despite her past, Tess has the life that she has always wanted; a loving husband, a young daughter, and a studio to paint in. In seconds, her life changes. Her husband is killed in an auto accident, and left Tess a widowed single mother. Abby, her five-year-old daughter, is the most important thing in her life, and Tess wants her to have a stable home. While she is trying to pull her world back together, she begins having nightmares. Tess dreams of her death many times over in many different centuries and eras. Her deaths are gruesome and are very real. If that isn't enough, she sometimes sees people and events that aren't there, and Tess is scared that she is going crazy like her mother.

With the support of Karen and Thomas, Tess's two good friends, and the love of Grams, they help her maintain a sense of normalcy in her life. Bryce, a wealthy and handsome man, has moved into town, and against her judgment, Tess finds him attractive. At a party, Tess slips and mentions one of her strange visions to Thomas and Bryce. Instead of thinking she is mental, Bryce claims that what she is seeing is real and that he can help her. Thomas gets upset and tells Bryce that she isn't ready and to leave her alone. Ready for what? Tess can't decide if she is more scared that she isn't crazy or if it was better to wonder about her sanity. The two men are battling for her affection and protection, and causing havoc in her life. With a murdered girl in the mix, they become the source of her salvation, or do they?

A Keeper's Truth by Dee Wilson is an intriguing novel that explores some of the myths that date back to antiquity. It contains many fascinating facts and suppositions about Lemuria and Atlantis. I think it is an amazing story, and I appreciate the way that Dee Wilson approaches these controversial mythical lands. I didn't feel like I was reading some fantastical fantasy, but rather a historical review, similar to how James Rollins and Clive Cussler write their interpretations. Ms. Willson has left it open for a sequel, and I will be looking for more novels about Tess, Bryce, and their families. I found this book enjoyable and entertaining, and I highly recommend it to science fiction aficionados who have an interest in the ancient lost civilizations of the earth and how these affect us today. It is a marvelous story and I am looking forward to reading the sequel.
