All I See Are Dark Clouds is a work of fiction in the paranormal drama, thriller, and fantasy adventure subgenres. It is intended for the young adult reading audience and contains some instances of violence and reference to assault. Penned by author M C Ryder, the work conveys a poignant exploration of regret, redemption, and the inner struggle of a vampire trying to come to terms with their dark nature. As we continue on the adventure, we form an increasingly more vivid picture of the emotional turmoil that the protagonist, a vampire, experiences as they grapple with the consequences of betraying their best friend and the weight of their immortality.

Author M C Ryder's narrative prowess captures the torment and self-loathing that our protagonist feels as they attempt to reconcile their past actions. The narrative is laden with introspection, making it easy to empathize with the inner turmoil, which is extremely well balanced alongside the new plot progression and plenty of action scenes. What struck me most about this book is how it delves into the moral complexities of being a vampire, a creature of the night, and the perpetual struggle for forgiveness and redemption. The theme of living with past regrets is something many readers can relate to, even in a supernatural context, and is all the more poignant in the YA subgenre. Overall, All I See Are Dark Clouds is a haunting tale that lingers in the mind, inviting readers to reflect on their own capacity for forgiveness and self-acceptance, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to fantasy fans everywhere.
