April In Chicago is a work of fiction in the interpersonal drama, suspense, and romance subgenres. It is best suited to the mature reading audience owing to sexually violent content and some other violent scenes and was penned by author Marcia A Oster. In this story of relationships, crime, and family life, we meet our protagonist Marcia when a move to Chicago turns her whole life around. Brought into the world of Detective David Chase by a chance encounter, Marcia finds that David is in the right place at the right time when she goes through terrible trauma and needs him most. Suddenly, a young boy named Danny comes into their lives, but things are far from peaceful for this young family.

Fans of fast-moving drama with plenty of shocking twists and turns are certain to enjoy this moving and suspenseful work from author Marcia A Oster. At the center of the narrative are the relationships that Oster works very hard at developing and narrating with a heartfelt sensibility, particularly in terms of how caring and protective David is, just when protagonist Marcia needs him the most. I adored the dialogue and presentation around little Danny, who found himself in a terrible situation, and I really enjoyed the balance between the grim elements of life and the constant perseverance and the search for hope that all the main characters possess. Overall, April In Chicago is a read that will bring on a full rollercoaster of emotions, but always with an inspiring and moving feeling at its core.
