Adrian Archer was bullied at school and called names. Adrian loved his mother and did not tell her the truth about school. She had enough problems of her own with his father, who was abusive toward him and his mother. Adrian had a plan and asked his father to take him fishing. he then killed his father after a bottle of vodka had been consumed. The police investigated the scene and concluded that his father had drowned. Mercury, who worked for a particular government department, visited Adrian and told him he knew what had happened to his father and that the department was interested in his particular skill set. Mercury would be back to make Adrian a proposition he would not be able to refuse. In Archer by Adrian Hirst, Adrian accepted the offer and his life changed drastically.

I was intrigued by the plot in Archer by Adrian Hirst. The story is interesting and had my attention from the beginning. The chapters flowed naturally into each other. It was action-packed as the pace was accelerating. The many twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. The suspense made the story powerful. I could not turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next. The characters were excellently developed and everyone had their own set of skills. They were authentic, and I could relate to them. My favorite character was Archer. He was kind and compassionate despite his occupation. The book was well-written, and I was drawn into the world of assassins. I did not expect the ending. It blew my mind.
