Bella Gets Rescued by Ellie Wakeman begins with Bella the rescue cat being afraid of everything initially when her first family adopts her, but she is not scared anymore. Once upon a time, not long ago, Bella was an itty-bitty kitty who lived all by herself and did everything all by herself. She was a lost kitty till she was found again. One night when Bella was sleeping under the starry sky, it started to rain. Bella hated getting wet so she ran and ended up getting picked up by a human. Bella was terrified as she had never been touched by a human or been inside a building. Bella’s new story begins from when she realizes that humans are gentle creatures with pleasant voices. Her new life is better than what she had dreamed and Bella is a happy cat!

The story is adorable and for all children who love cats and pets, this book will strike a chord. Bella is lovable and adorable and anyone would want to have her as a pet. The illustrations are beautiful and they convey the author’s thoughts effectively. It is a heartwarming story and can be used for bedtime story-telling. Bella’s story will also make an interesting read in classrooms for their read aloud sessions, especially the ending which gives the entire story a new meaning and will enable children to look at their unfounded fears and handle them. The story has a good message hidden in it and will help many readers to connect with God better.
