Bent Pages by Anne Hope is a unique memoir containing the author's experiences as a child, a wife, and especially a mother. Anne's childhood was rough with experiences marked by rejection, misery, loneliness, and insecurity. In her book, she talks about the importance of history in our lives and how our childhood determines who we will become as adults. When she was a child, she wished she could escape the stigma of coming from a low-income family and a divorced home, but because she couldn't, she felt the need to compensate by becoming a perfectionist and an overachiever. Anne often felt miserable because of her addicted, suicidal mother and her sick husband. They both fail to teach her what unconditional love and happiness mean. But then a child came into Anne's life and saved her.

Anne Hope proves that a child is the most precious blessing from God that can heal many hearts. Her memoir is an inspiring and veritable example of how a mother should raise and talk about her child. Anne Hope writes with honesty about how having her daughter taught her to love, forgive, and trust somebody and that it is okay to fail. Bent Pages by Anne Hope is a powerful reminder to stay connected to God, be grateful, and consider your life worth living no matter the crises. It's a quick read that teaches its readers that God rewards those who give him control over their lives. I strongly recommend it as it advises you to cherish and never forget the experiences that helped you become who you are.
