Bianca And The Snow Owl, written and illustrated by Chance Rowley, is the story of a young girl named Bianca playing in the snow with her parents. When the snow begins to come down harder, Bianca can no longer see her parents. Once the snow finally clears, she realizes that her parents are nowhere to be seen and that she is lost. She hears a strange sound from above. It is a snow owl hooting as it swoops down towards her. What is the snow owl doing? Where did Bianca’s parents go? Will she be able to find her way back home by herself or will she need the help of something extraordinary? Will anyone believe her about her time with the snow owl?

Bianca And The Snow Owl by Chance Rowley is a wonderful story with a plot that reinforces the concepts of trust and believing in one’s self in a way that kids can enjoy and understand. I love the way the owl carries Bianca as if she is his personal precious cargo as he takes her home where it is safe and warm. Bianca knows her time with the owl was true, even though her parents insist she imagined the entire event. I love how detailed, bright and lively the illustrations are as they display the story in their own beautiful hues. I recommend Bianca And The Snow Owl to anyone with children of any age and hope that Rowley has many more life lessons in store for future stories like this one.

Amazing book, heartwarming and fun read with nice illustrations and a cool scavenger hunt at the end.

It was good enough to entertain my grandbaby and I so I think we will read it a few more times this winter.

9/10 Would recommend! There were chipmunks playing with matches in the background. But the little medieval guys are cute and not a problem in my opinion.
