Jazz's brother is startled when he hears a loud bang from his sister’s room. Jazz is frustrated because she cannot find the right words for her homework. She needs to write an A-to-Z word list, but she wants it to be distinctive and special. The siblings join forces and come up with awesome words to make their list. They search high and low for these words. Rhyming words sound like fun, so they use them. They are also inspired by words from the Aviation Alphabet and think of every possible idea. Words from the circus, fancy words, or night words; it does not matter, no word is off limits. Read Book of Best Words by Laura Teste and find out which creative words the pair will use to create Jazz's list.

Book of Best Words is a creative and unique book with an array of child-related topics. Laura Teste perfectly blends the alphabet, words, family bonding, and rhyming. The book will take you on an adventure of familiar and odd words. Jazz and her brother bounce ideas off each other and use their wit to come up with the craziest words. I loved their banter and adorable personalities. The illustrations are comical, depicting the two with joyful faces and imaginative ideas. By the end of the book, the two manage to come up with words for the list, but the homework is not yet done. Maybe Jazz will need help with her math homework in the next book. I cannot wait to read more. Brilliant work.
