Who said that technology and poetry have nothing in common? It is possible to find a writer who has excellent knowledge of the former and is able to compose the latter in a way that will change our perspective on these matters? In this case, it happened when Betsy Aoki created her first poetry collection, Breakpoint. Aoki is both a writer and a videogame producer, so who better to combine technology and poetry in the same book? She writes powerful verses that are remarkable for the vivid images they convey and, at the same time, reveal her technological knowledge. Divided into three sections, this is a one-of-a-kind poetry collection.

I have some interest in technology, and I am also a great admirer of all those who know how to write poetry, so the idea of a poetry collection that could combine these two aspects did not fail to fascinate me. Betsy Aoki exceeded all my expectations. Breakpoint is different from poetry I have read so far, and for that reason, I will remember it forever. Aoki has an exceptional talent for representing what she describes. Her ability to combine technology and poetry is unique and extraordinary. There are poems that, at first glance, would suggest that it is just a programming language. I recommend this book to readers looking for a poetry collection different from the norm and that can stimulate the reader with the originality and beauty of its verses.
