Author Biography

Heather Hart is an internationally best-selling and award-winning author who has an unquenchable passion for Jesus. Her desire is to help women of all ages embrace who they were created to be and find their true beauty in Christ. Heather knows that the one thing every girl needs is a little honesty, so she’s not afraid to get candid and share her struggles. Her hope that is through her writing, she can help others soak up the love of Jesus.

Heather is the founder of the #CandidlyChristian movement, and in Candid Conversations, she encourages readers to be honest and look for ways they can relate to each story. Then take that mentality into their everyday lives and start having candid conversations with those around them. Because we can use our struggles to point to Jesus.

Candid Conversations: Real Women. Real Life. Real Faith by Heather Hart collects insightful accounts from inspiring women. The book encourages women to be candid about their struggles so that they can come together and support each other. In the chapter Your Life is God’s Story, Maretha Retief tells her story. Born with a disability in her left hand, she encountered ridicule from other children during her childhood. Performance became her way to overcome her challenges until she experienced Christ’s love. In the chapter Judgements and Jesus, Heather Hart opens up about her difficulty in loving other Christians, especially those who lack humility and fail to love as Christ does. Other chapters explore topics such as confidence, patience, forgiveness, and much more.

In Candid Conversations, different struggles that many Christians face are highlighted and addressed through guidance from scriptures. The book points to the presence of the Holy Spirit that continually works within us. It also focuses on Christ who, despite our imperfections, continues to love us. The book is neatly organized and each chapter ends with questions that help in applying the insights in the book. Scriptures are quoted in every section and they offer a foundation for the messages. The accounts are offered with humility and candidness and they show that every Christian has issues they struggle with.
