Are you at a crossroads in your career path? Is your job taking over your life? Perhaps what you need to do is step back and analyze the three R’s of Tri-R Methodology: Realize, Reinvest, Relaunch. What does that mean? First, you must ‘realize’ where you are currently, both professionally and emotionally. Then you must ‘reinvest’ to seek out an actionable approach that includes mentors, networking, and so much more. Then, thirdly, it’s time to ‘relaunch’ yourself so that you find what’s at the heart of the Tri-R Methodology: a work-life sense of harmony. Sound simple enough? It will take some creative energy and, yes, ‘work’ on your part, but there are resources to help guide you along. Reena Gupta and Rebecca Cullen’s book, Career Interrupted: Navigating Career Crossroads and Defining Success on Your Own Terms, is an excellent resource to get you started and take you beyond the crossroads affecting your work-life equilibrium.

The book is full of insightful wisdom, including interviews with experts, entrepreneurs, talent industry executives, career coaches, and psychologists, to name but a few. What makes this book stand out from other self-help career guide books is that it’s highly personalized as you, the reader, are given the tools to navigate some very challenging career changes. In short, this book will help you choose a career path that will make you satisfied and content with the work-life balance. The authors have presented a thorough, insightful guide that is well laid out to lead you on your personalized career assessment and self-discovery journey. However, even the authors will admit that finishing this book is only just the beginning of your journey: “My last piece of advice is, please don’t stop growing and learning. Although you have come to the end of the book, I hope that it is just a beginning for you as you reassess your career trajectory and forge the path ahead.” Well said!
