Created: The Devil’s Apprentice by Gregory A. Rogers is a Christian historical fiction novel and the first installment in the Created series. The book retells the Biblical narrative of Lucifer’s rebellion and fall from grace. The story follows Malachi, a young angel residing in the serenity of Eden. Elohim’s heavenly kingdom was holy and preserved, so when Malachi heard the creaking sound from the gates’ hinges, he was perplexed and amused. As he and two other angels approached, the creaking sound became a mystery as they got to know each other. They were searching for their special mentor, but why was there so much secrecy? For Malachi, this was unclear. The story is captivating as it explores struggles, battles for sovereignty, and suspense to uncover a deep mystery.

Lucifer was always different from the other angels. Elohim fashioned him with special care and made him the Overseer of the Garden of Eden. As the narrative unfolds, we learn about his role in Elohim’s original creation. The concept of free will is frequently questioned in this narrative, which Malachi finds difficult to understand. Gregory A. Rogers' Created praises Elohim’s creativity as limitless beyond measure and highlights that each of his creations has a unique specialty. The storyline emphasizes that the dilemma always results in imperfection regardless of what one chooses; recognition, glory, or sovereignty. Gregory’s storytelling is exceptional as it questions Elohim’s true motives. The book delves into complex themes such as free will and sovereignty while providing an engaging and suspenseful narrative. Overall, it is a thought-provoking and captivating read that will leave you eager for more.
