There is an increasing amount of focus on physical and mental health nowadays, and rightfully so. But what about our spiritual health? With our hectic lives, sometimes in the pursuit of success and a higher standard of living, we embroil ourselves in the messiness surrounding us and begin to lose touch with the Divine. Author Amanda Kate suffered from similar chronic fatigue, mentally and emotionally falling apart until she realized that true healing is not just curing the problem but embracing it as a way of integrating and being transformed by it. In Divine. Messy. Human., Kate provides some thought-provoking insights related to the nature of spirituality and how it connects us as a whole. Through this book, she seeks to help people prioritize their own internal truths on their path to healing.

An introspective book that puts emphasis on self-empowerment and self-love, Divine. Messy. Human. is a must-read for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the sheer chaotic absurdities of everyday life. Drawing on her own struggles, Amanda Kate offers some deep insights into the reasons people are sometimes plagued by self-loathing and other such problems and provides tools to help them turn those problems into useful assets as part of their own distinct identities. The most impressive aspect of the solutions discussed within these pages is that everything Kate states here is easily applicable to our day-to-day lives. If you feel you've lost your spiritual connection to the Divine universal whole, I highly suggest reading this book.

A lot can be said about the nature of human beings but in Divine. Messy. Human. A Spiritual Guide to Prioritising Internal Truth over External Influence by Amanda Kate we take a look into the messy lives and minds of people and how it’s okay to be your most authentic self. This book acts as a guide to help you along the way to finding peace of mind in this chaotic world and equip you with the tools necessary to embrace whatever is thrown your way.

Divine. Messy. Human. by Amanda Kate was something of a revolutionary read in the sense that although the ideologies within the book may seem commonplace, Kate’s delivery truly drives home the most important of concepts needed in order to heal. Each chapter tackles very real scenarios and problems faced by everyday people and I found myself engrossed while flipping through the pages. I particularly found the chapter ‘’You are not Broken’’ to be moving and inspirational. As someone who has struggled with that kind of mentality, I felt a weight being lifted and almost lighter when reading that chapter. Reading through this book was like having a conversation with a close friend. It’s like having an intimate conversation where you bare all to someone you trust. I found comfort and strength in the words and I’m sure that many others will feel the same. Divine. Messy. Human. will be one of the books I frequently go back to read.

If you want to live a healthy, abundant, and joyful life, you must first change your thinking. Amanda Kate's Divine. Messy. Human. gives you the tools and thinking patterns you need to correct and reverse your self-sabotaging inner voice and, as a result, positively improve your life. She explains the tools and tactics she utilized on her healing journey to break free from self-hatred and to love and enrich herself. You will learn how to bring your spiritual self into your everyday duties without losing touch with reality and your obligations. The pages of the book are filled with profound discussions and ideas that explore the various sides of truth, trauma, and its various responses, creating healthy boundaries, experiencing the spiritual paradox, self-responsibility, the role of language in healing, the paradox of conflicting emotions, and much more.

Instead of offering difficult, ceremonial healing practices, Amanda Kate simplifies them and demonstrates how to incorporate various healing practices into a busy, conventional life through small progressive daily habits. One of the many ongoing, attainable routines I've adopted from the book is asking myself if I'm pleased to share my self-deprecating thoughts with the rest of the world to control them. Divine. Messy. Human. is a beautiful self-help book! The author's words are lyrical, introspective, and unabashedly honest, with enough punch and elegance to jolt you into a positive frame of mind. This book is here to help you love yourself and pay attention to your wellness and inner voice by providing you with practical tools, intelligent reasoning, and compelling examples. This is for you if you wish to thrive and flourish in your current situation and your regular life without shirking your obligations.
