Divine Timing by A. M. Minnittee is an original collection of inspirational poetry. Each of the nine verses is accompanied by a soulful illustration that gives additional depth to its meaning. The topics dabble in love, mythology, and the human spirit. Minnittee writes strong, purposeful verse and possesses exquisite artistic talent. Her words are carefully chosen and fit together flawlessly. She brings you into the moment, and you can taste the passion. Minnittee’s intricate drawings have the style and flow of graphic novel illustrations. Her images are multifaceted, passionate, and intriguing. Her words and drawings speak from her heart directly to the hearts of others.

I felt a connection to the poems in Divine Timing by A. M. Minnittee. I especially enjoyed Goddess Blossoms. I could feel and taste the images in lines like this one, “The Goddess blooms in the brittle sun, in the murky soul and fleeting love.” Her poem, Magical, was nothing less magical. This line touched my heart, “But as I grew, things became dimmer like the moon eclipses the sun.” Minnittee’s work pays tribute to her African-American, Afro-Dominican, and Italian heritage and gives testament to the belief that all our hearts beat as one. I spent equal time absorbing the meaningful words and the expressive art. Minnitte’s ability to combine visual art and the written word is a real talent. I recommend Divine Timing to poetry and art lovers. It is a divine collection of inner essence with perfect timing for a world in need of healing.
