Author Biography

Writing is my Passion and Humour is my voice. So this is what inspired me to write the Comedy, Dollars & Diamonds.
I based the story in an English Sea side town, called Brighton. The Characters and their adventures are all fiction.
Which did make this an extremely fun book to write. Due to its popular demand, I am now working on its sequel, which will be out later this year.
I also enjoy writing Poetry, I write poems on any subject, but I would say that writing Inspirational is where my pen flows most.
I have many hobbies, jewellery making and clothes design are favourites. I am a big animal lover and love spending time with my dogs and hill walking.
Living a healthy lifestyle is food for the mind body and soul, so I do enjoy keeping fit and eating lots of fresh fruits and Raw Veg as my main diet.

Ever since "Sex & the City" ended years ago women like me have been desperately looking for a book, a film or a television show that recaptures the magic. Paris Jean has done just that in "Dollars & Diamonds". While this story is about more than raunchy sex talk and high-priced designer shoes, there is plenty of that and so much more. It is told from the point of view of Jean; we are also introduced to her kooky friends Tammy and Bobette who are both characters in the best sense of the word, in their own right. The story of "Dollars & Diamonds" is not about one thing, it is about love and friendship and fashion and fun.

I am intrigued by the fact that the main character believes the story to be about her relationship with a wimp of a man called Brad, but really it is about tons of misadventures, the friends we rely on to get through life of which failed relationships are a part, and how amazing we look as we navigate the messy road to happiness. For the most part the story is well-written but I think we could’ve gotten to the “fun parts” a little bit sooner. There is just so much to love about "Dollars & Diamonds", particularly Bobette in my opinion, not to mention an incredible mishap with a tasty Greek waiter. Before you turn the last page you will laugh, maybe cry, scream in frustration and end with an emphatic “OH MY GOD!” That is the true test of a great story, which Paris Jean has definitely woven.
