End Z.O.N.E. is a work of fiction in the science fiction, time travel, and dystopian adventure genres, and is the opening novel of the Tomorrowscape series. Penned by author Neal Wooten, the plot follows four college friends who create a groundbreaking time-travel invention, leading to a journey filled with pain, survival, war, and love. Bronson Peek and Marty Liberman embark on a leap of faith to witness the future, encountering both utopia and dystopia, where socioeconomic divisions have created a nightmarish reality. The wealthy reside in luxurious technological enclaves, while the poor suffer in squalor. A calculation error traps Bronson in this bleak future, separated from his true love, Mitzy Reynolds. Determined to reunite, Mitzy risks everything to find him, but time is running out.

Author Neal Wooten has crafted a thought-provoking journey into a future shaped by the consequences of societal divides and technological advancements. I was impressed by the vivid descriptions right from the start, setting the scene for some very grand adventures and immersing us in a multi-sensory world of dystopian thrills. Wooten's narrative serves as a cautionary tale, offering a stark reflection of where our current trajectory could lead, yet this strong message is embedded naturally into the plot and never gets in the way of the action. The interesting juxtaposition of utopia versus dystopia painted a vivid picture of a world sharply divided between privilege and poverty, reflecting contemporary issues of wealth inequality and societal decay. Bronson and Mitzy's emotional journey was characterized well by some excellent dialogue exchanges and tender moments that vary the action and give it a strong emotional impetus. Overall, End Z.O.N.E. is a compelling exploration of humanity's potential fate, urging readers to consider the consequences of our actions in shaping tomorrow's world. I would certainly recommend it to fans of thought-provoking science fiction everywhere.
