Evidence of Grace by Candace Armstrong is a family drama novel with strong characters and an immersive plot. Charlie and Mae Jericho wanted to start a family, but nothing was working right for them. However, that changed when Charlie witnessed a Minivan accident and found a baby girl crying and alone. So, Charlie took her in, and the couple chose to raise the little girl and named her Amy. Finally happy with their family, they had no idea that the baby girl they'd called Amy was Grace Richards and was the granddaughter of the ex-mayor of their little town. Grace’s family believed that she survived the terrible accident and wanted to find her again. However, Mae and Charlie were not ready to say goodbye to their fragile little family. What ensued after that would change their lives forever. They had no idea that their desire for a family could be so disruptive.

Evidence of Grace was such an excellent and elaborate family drama that it had me sitting on the edge of my seat and holding my breath. Mae was obsessed with having a child, and little Amy soaked up all the love Mae and Charlie had to give. The descriptions and dialogues were so elaborate and reflective of the characters. At a certain point in the story, I felt like the Jerichos had bitten off more than they could chew. Candace Armstrong made the story enjoyable by adding more characters and introducing more subplots to deepen the drama. Sylvia and Brian proved to be great secondary characters. Their struggles and Sylvia’s struggles to get to the bottom of things were incredible. I enjoyed the pace, I loved the suspense, and I felt so satisfied by the ending.
