Far Out is a work of fiction in the thriller, interpersonal drama, and crime subgenres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience. This rollicking and unexpectedly hilarious crime caper penned by author Khaled Talib takes readers on a wild ride through the glitzy and deceptive world of Hollywood. The story centers around Blake Deco, a screenwriter whose life takes a bizarre turn when his movie star wife, Goldie Saint Helen, wakes up from a coma believing she's a hippie chick detective on a mission to find a missing teenager.

Author Khaled Talib has crafted a story with the perfect blend of comedy, mystery, thriller, and Hollywood insider gossip, sucking you into a strange new world where nothing the characters do or say is ever quite as it seems. The characters are quirky and unforgettable, and there’s a great deal of dedication to individualism in the dialogue, attitudes, and wry humor of each central figure that really endears them to you, flaws and all. The plot is well-paced to reveal interesting clues, character quirks, and thrilling moments, filled with unexpected twists and turns that keep you guessing as to where this strange couple’s life will go next. What made the work particularly enjoyable for me was its irreverent and witty tone, which turns a fast-paced, action-packed story into a layered, satirical, and ultimately very clever work that still reads like a Hollywood blockbuster. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Far Out to fans of highly entertaining dramas with a great balance of thrills, character-driven action, and exciting hijinks in a glitzy world.
