Firedawn by Angela Wren is Book 2 in the Firekind series. Poppy and Thom are back together again – but not for long. Something is stopping them from fighting the Nephyl and joining the Firekind. Poppy has been captured and hidden away in her father’s house, where she must fight for her life when she discovers the dangers of Caelith. A new elemental has appeared. One that spells trouble for all, and the Firekind has mysteriously disappeared. Thom does not know if Poppy is alive and begins a journey to find his sister. While they may be estranged, she is the key to helping him discover what he needs to know. Thom and Poppy are facing a monumental battle to save their homeland from destruction before it’s too late. Can they do it, or will their efforts be in vain?
Firedawn by Angela Wren continues the story of Thom and Poppy and is just as thrilling as the first in the series; the action continues nonstop. The main characters develop further as more about them is revealed, and the plot thickens, with new twists and turns, plenty of suspense, romance, and the fight to save all unfolds. Wren has a talent for writing these stories and has a fantastic imagination. Readers should read Firedawn as part of the series; it won’t make sense as a standalone read. I hope there will be a third in this series.
