In Frosted Cowboy by Charlene Ross, Laney Delaney is on the rebound from a long-term relationship gone bad. While trying to get her love life back on track, her career as a wedding dress designer falls apart, and she has to find her way as a fledgling t-shirt designer and entrepreneur. Lucky for her she has the support and love of lifelong friends and family. If you are looking for a smooth read filled with the buzz of good humor, a smattering of spicy romance, and the hard bite of heartbreak, Frosted Cowboy by Charlene Ross is the book for you. It will hit the spot just like its namesake, the tequila-based mixed drink that will warm any girl's heart. From lovable characters to real life emotions and awkward situations, Ross masterfully gives her readers the perfect escape from life's monotonous treadmill.

I especially loved how Laney is surrounded by beautiful people and can't see how beautiful she is as well, even if she doesn't have the perfect body, the perfect job, and the perfect life partner. As the story progresses, so does her self-confidence, and that self-confidence shines through even during her most turbulent days. Laney's friends and family are all unique individuals with sometimes conflicting personalities, but even the most disagreeable of friends come through to support her when she is down. Like in all good books, Laney grows and so does her ability to cope with the mishmash of drama and comedy that surrounds her. The plot itself is well developed and flows from chapter to chapter so seamlessly that I often found myself reading way past my bedtime. I happily recommend this book to anyone needing to lighten up her own reality.
