Gesundheit by Nadja Coln is a magical fantasy story which introduces readers to Princess Mary, a princess who lives in a beautiful, white castle in Lionheart Kingdom. A big scary dragon lives in a large abandoned cave outside Princess Mary’s kingdom. They decide to deal with the beast and send out a message to everyone. Though all the knights went to answer Princess Mary’s challenge, no one had the courage to fight the beast. Young Marcello hears about the beast and the challenge by accident, and he is keen to defeat the dragon and marry the beautiful princess. Will he able to succeed in doing what the other knights couldn’t?

The story is enchanting and absorbing and will keep readers entertained till the very end. The illustrations are equally fascinating and they breathe life into the scenes and characters. They also give a good pace and movement to the story. All the characters are well portrayed and Marcello will win the hearts of readers with his courage. The ending is unexpected and makes the tale more interesting. It’s a good bedtime storybook for kids and can also be used for interactive reading sessions in classrooms and school libraries.

The writing style is simple and vivid and all the characters and scenes come alive for readers while they are flipping through the pages. There is a subtle message too for readers that they should not always believe what others say or what they hear from others. And in this case, the dragon is not as terrible as projected.
