Author Biography

I am a writer and actress who has performed in New York and Los Angeles with professional and workshop productions of my stage plays in Manhattan. I write across multiple genres including dark humor, tragedy, and political drama. I've been writing steadily for the past 20 years and will continue to write novels and adaptations of classical works in the years to come. My work tends toward the experimental side of art and always includes strong and simple humanitarian voices and points of view, no matter what genre I'm writing in. I love being involved in bringing my work to the public and seeing fellow actors interpret my material, along with performing some of it myself every now and then. Beginning with a client he suspects may be engaged in fraudulent dealings, Yahn Marynugh’s life starts to fall apart in Godsmack: Part 1, The Mother Earth by Josie Peterson. His health also suffers, with more clients coming after him to recover whatever finances they can. As Yahn continues this downward spiral, he eventually comes upon a sale advertisement for an organic farm in a rural area. It provides an opportunity for Yahn to escape and start anew. However, his criminal clients have other plans for him. With the help of his trusted companion, George, and newfound friends, Yahn travels into a world of awe, wonder, and peril. He will ultimately have to make a choice -- a decision that will alter the trajectory of his life.

Godsmack: Part 1, The Mother Earth by Josie Peterson is a dark comedy about one man’s journey to improve his circumstances despite the odds stacked against him. Godsmack felt almost like an experimental story to me. The narrative is compelling and suspenseful, keeping the pages turning. Elements of surrealism add to the heightened reality that Yahn is experiencing. In addition, Peterson does not shy away from revealing the corrupt and lawless underbelly of the city. With these combined elements, Peterson presents a compelling, offbeat, tragic, and funny drama about salvation and self amid despair and suffering.
