Green City Savior by Christen Civiletto spins a suspenseful tale about a green initiative in the area of Niagara Falls with a dark underbelly. Michael Malvisti is the grandson of an extremely wealthy Italian immigrant family that is responsible for the donation of the land for the site, but has been kept out of the larger part of the family business. The family name itself is rather polarizing and he is not entirely sure why. Lydia is a single mother and real estate agent in the Niagara region, with a son that always seems sick and a brother dying from cancer. She and her friend manage to get the job of selling the new green houses and condos which will give her financial security for the first time in a while. But both she and Michael quickly start receiving envelopes with hints of dangerous problems under Cascata Verde, the green city. When people start to show up dead and there are multiple threats on people’s lives, they will have to decide what they might be willing to give up for this project.

Christen Civiletto has given us a page turning masterpiece in Green City Savior, full of enough suspense to keep me interested but not so threatening as to induce nightmares. The characters are rounded and engaging, failing at times and, like most people, not always as solid in their faith as we would like to think ourselves. The setting and descriptions are beautiful, the science of the story is well researched and compelling in its arguments. It provokes thought and makes an inspiring statement about stewardship of the earth. I like that is it not preachy but gives God the last word.

Personally, I want to thank Christen Civiletto, for taking her time in writing this special book and generously giving this book as a gift to me, it was very sweet to talk to her, she is very caring and wonderful person to be around and my daughter was also excited in reading this book with me! Im grateful for her compassionate heart, and for caring about the people of Niagara Falls!! Many blessings to her and to her family, from all of us, in New York! I would recommend especially for those that live near Niagara Falls, or if your loved ones live near by this to definitely read this book!
Thank you and Thank you again, for this book!!
