Hanna the Hawk is a Super Youneek Beast is a children’s picture book written and illustrated by Beth Davis. The story follows Hanna, a baby hawk who could not wait for the day she and her siblings would fly out of their tree house and see the world. The siblings wondered about the snowy mountains and the rivers in the valleys. Unfortunately, Hanna could not see all these beautiful features because she was short-sighted and had to wear eyeglasses that did not help her see as far as her siblings. When the time came for the siblings to take their first big flight, Hanna encouraged her brother and sister to go ahead and explore without her. A friend who had been observing the siblings approached the sad Hanna with an idea that would allow her to fly freely and have a fun adventure. Get a copy of this book and join Hanna as she learns a new way of flying from her friend.

Hanna the Hawk is a Super Youneek Beast is a fun read that will teach children about friendship, compassion, and confidence. Beth Davis combines all these lessons and raises awareness about vision impairment and service animals in one short story. She uses a cheerful tone and narrates the story in a way that children will understand and appreciate. Hanna and her siblings are adorable characters, and they all have distinct features that set them apart. The best part of this book is the colorful and eye-catching illustrations. The book looks bright, and the colors make me happy. I hope they have the same effect on fellow readers. I highly recommend parents and caregivers read this book with their children and teach each other about being kind to others and embracing our differences.
